The dawn of the new year has brought an end to an era in the Funkativity household. After months of service, the hallowed walls of our living-room fort have been demolished, freeing up the room for new architectural additions.
Next week, construction begins on our new livingroom-spa/trampoline/botanical garden. If you're lucky, you might get an invitation to the ribbon cutting ceremony....
In the meantime, enjoy this week's song, "In His Sights."
By Sean
For the benefit of Mr. Right, there will be no show tonight. Don't cause a scene....
"In His Sights"
by The Theory of Funkativity
Verse:
The worst ten-thousand hertz
They can be dialed in
Hammered thin
They insert amounts of discord
Right under the skin
Safe for the chimps or the pets or the kids
So come on what are you waiting for
We can talk you up
As if by design
Both of the wings fall off
Fall like rocks
Through the air
Maintaining their cool
But at what cost
They are such a drag when they're lost
Carry on, carry on
Please excuse our dust
Chorus:
The dotted line
He doesn't take kind
To insolence
Us invalids
Be warned, we'll be in his sights
Don't catch his eye
Verse:
First to come back alive
Or so the story goes
We don't know
What we hear is half gibberish
Half circus freak show
Watch the beard on the woman grow
So come all, wont you step right on up
We will blow your mind
They know your type
They are the perfect fit
The upper lip
The rest and all that you are
They have on file
When they want to straighten your spine
Turn around did you imagine that
We can fill the void
Chorus:
The dotted line
He doesn't take kind
To insolence
Us invalids
Be warned, we'll be in his sights
Don't catch his eye
The dotted line
The true mastermind
His influence
Is limitless
Be warned, we'll be in his sights
Don't catch his eye
Chorus:
The dotted line
He doesn't take kind
To insolence
Us invalids
Be warned, we'll be in his sights
Don't catch his eye
The dotted line
The true mastermind
His influence
Is limitless
Be warned, we'll be in his sights
Don't catch his eye

I end up further and further removed from each new song. I can hardly recognize "In His Sights."
The instruments are recurring characters. Their personality shifts... they are continuously developing, but it's the same entities. I try to let them do what they want!
