Reanimating The McGriddle
There is little in this world that we can all agree on. The deliciousness of McDonald's Bacon Egg and Cheese McGriddle is one such thing. It is man's most perfect creation: a masterful combination of ingredients sandwiched between two syrup-infused pancakes. However, as any McGriddle aficionado will tell you, the item is tragically unavailable during reasonable hours of the day. Depending on the location, McDonald's stops serving breakfast around 10 or 11am each day. No good. I've often thought that the McGriddle could, potentially, be even more spectacular late at night. It's got all the makings of a great late night snack. But the world will never know. OR WILL IT.The other day I was making pancakes, and I had the idea of pouring syrup onto them as they cooked. It actually worked. They came out McGriddle-esque. That got me thinking... with the right ingredients and preparation, could someone recreate the McGriddle for late night consumption?? Well, I'm going to try. If you've seen the latest Fringe episode, you can think of me as the obsessed researcher attempting to find and harvest the necessary organs (ingredients) so that, within the confines of my lab (kitchen) I can reanimate my prized subject (the McGriddle).
